What you need
- If you want to try Roku: a current Roku device and a player available in the Roku Channel Store that accepts M3U playlists
- Ask support before subscribing — the free trial is the safest way to test
Your options
- 1Search the Roku Channel Store for an IPTV or M3U player. Availability changes frequently and features are limited compared with other platforms.
- 2Avoid any guide that asks you to enable Roku developer mode and upload unofficial packages — this is unsupported and can leave your device insecure.
- 3Screen mirroring from an Android phone is possible on some models but usually gives poor quality for live TV.
Sign in with your Sonix details
Your account or trial email contains everything you need. Keep it open on your phone while you type.
- 1If you find a compatible player, add your M3U link where it asks for a playlist URL.
Supported login methods
M3U playlist URL
A single playlist link. Widely supported; the program guide (EPG) is usually added as a separate XMLTV link.
Your account details tell you which method to use. If you’re unsure, ask support.
Set up the TV guide (EPG)
- Most Roku M3U players don’t support a full program guide.
Common problems on Roku
No player supports my login
This is common on Roku. A low-cost Fire TV Stick or Chromecast with Google TV plugged into the same TV is the practical solution.
