How to Set Up Sonix IPTV on Apple TV

On Apple TV, install an IPTV player from the App Store — such as IPTVX or UHF — and sign in with your Sonix Xtream Codes or M3U details. Some players sync settings from iPhone or iPad.

What you need

  • Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD with a recent tvOS version
  • An Apple Account signed in on the Apple TV
  • Your Sonix account or trial details

Recommended player apps

These players are made by independent developers and are not affiliated with Sonix. Pick one — you only need one.

Install the player

  1. 1Open the App Store on the Apple TV and search for your chosen player.
  2. 2Select Get (or the price, for paid apps) and confirm with your Apple Account.
  3. 3Open the app. Some tvOS players are free to try and offer an in-app purchase for full features — that purchase goes to the app developer through Apple.
Install apps only from official app stores or the developer’s own website. We never ask you to download files from unofficial sources.

Sign in with your Sonix details

Your account or trial email contains everything you need. Keep it open on your phone while you type.

  1. 1Choose to add a playlist and select Xtream Codes (or “Xtream API”). Enter the server URL, username and password.
  2. 2If the app supports it, use the companion iPhone app or QR-code entry to avoid typing long details with the Siri Remote.
  3. 3For M3U, paste the full playlist URL and, if available, the EPG link.

Supported login methods

Xtream Codes API

Server URL, username and password. Loads live TV, movies, series and the program guide in one step.

M3U playlist URL

A single playlist link. Widely supported; the program guide (EPG) is usually added as a separate XMLTV link.

Your account details tell you which method to use. If you’re unsure, ask support.

Set up the TV guide (EPG)

  • With an Xtream Codes login, the program guide normally loads automatically — open the TV Guide or EPG view after the first sync.
  • With an M3U login, add the EPG (XMLTV) link from your account details in the app’s EPG or TV Guide settings, if your plan provides one.
  • If guide data is missing, set the app’s time zone to your local zone and refresh the EPG. Guide data can take several minutes to download on first use.
